History

After thirty years of experience in accountancy, Mike King set up his own practice; King & Co in 1996. Throughout the last seven years King & Co has grown year on year. This is largely due to the principle that having a thorough working knowledge of our clients and their business is fundamental to the service we provide.

Originally based in Tunbridge Wells, the firm relocated to offices in Wadhurst approximately four years ago and is now dealing with a diverse portfolio of clients across Kent and East Sussex.

Qualifications

Mike King is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute’s Tax Faculty, as well as being a member of the Sage Accountants Club and a registered Quick Books professional advisor. As a small firm, having these links with organisations enables us to keep up to date with all the latest changes in accountancy and taxation. This means that we can provide a quality service. You can therefore be rest assured that King & Co are fully qualified to offer a professional accountancy service.

It is important for the public to deal with a chartered accountant as it ensures a certain level of training and expertise has been gained. Unlike many other professions, accountancy does not require a qualification to be practiced and this means that some accountants are operating without the required level of skills and expertise.

We are positive that our clients will benefit from the training and qualifications that essentially, only a chartered accountant can offer.
