Mike King FCA

Mike began his training as a Chartered accountant in 1971 at Day Smith & Hunter. When he qualified in 1976, he left them to join the international firm of Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). Here he rose from Audit Senior to Senior Manager in the space of nine years. During this period he gained experience of large companies, and when asked to manage the set-up of a new Maidstone office, he gained considerable experience of business development.
Mike left the firm in 1985, to become Financial Director of P B Group Ltd, gaining first hand commercial knowledge of business finances. Finally, before setting up his own business King & Co he worked as Finance Director of Interaction Marketing & Pubic Relations Ltd, managing monthly accounts, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.

Mike has now been working in King & Co for seven years, during which time he has seen the firm rapidly expand and take on a wide range of clients.

Sheila King

Sheila had a varied career up to 1987, when she gained her bookkeeping qualification. Since then she has worked in the accounts department of various businesses. She has gained extensive knowledge of accounts payable and receivable, stock control and credit control functions.

In 1999 Sheila joined her husbands practice full-time and runs the bookkeeping and payroll divisions. She has a thorough working knowledge of Sage and Quick Books and carries out installation and training in these products.
